Please allow sufficient time to return the bicycle within business hours. If you think you may not make it in time, please contact the shop immediately. Returns after usage time or business hours will incur an extension fee.

The rental fee includes equipment such as a helmet, light, and lock. (No discount is provided even if you bring your own.)

We offer the following items:

1. Free options (provided to all customers or attached to the bike)

2. Free multi-day option (one per group for multi-day rentals)

• Repair kit (includes tire levers, pump, and tube in a small saddle bag)

• Bike travel bag (for cross bikes only; must be able to handle packing yourself)

4. Paid options (available on the day)

• Saddle cover (¥880)
• Gloves (¥440)

5. Paid options (advance reservation required; limited quantity)

• Rear carrier installation for cross bikes (without pannier bag): ¥2,500
• Handlebar bag: ¥220
• Backpack: ¥880
• SPD-SL or SPD pedals: ¥2,200

Please use the coin lockers located in the facility.
Large luggage such as suitcases can be stored at our shop for a fee (¥1,000/day).

Since it is a long distance of about 200 km, we recommend at least a 2-day, 1-night trip. Please enjoy the ride with plenty of time.

The northern lake area has fewer accommodations and convenience stores, so staying in Nagahama or Makino is recommended.

We offer children’s sports bikes suitable for riders from 110 cm in height. Sizes available: 20, 22, and 24 inches.
We will also check hand size (ability to operate brakes) on the day.

We offer electric city bikes equipped with front or front-and-rear child seats. We also have trailer-type child carriers that can be attached to cross bikes or e-bikes. These trailers can carry up to two children (total weight up to 45 kg).

The rental includes liability insurance for personal injury and property damage.

Insurance covering your own injuries or damage to the rental bicycle is not included, so please arrange additional coverage if necessary.

In principle, please return the bicycle to Biwaichi Bike. If return is not possible, a transportation fee will be charged.

You will need to handle it yourself. Please visit a bicycle shop or replace the tube yourself. If you wish to rent tools or a spare tube, please inform us before departure. (A fee will be charged if the tube is used.)

If the bicycle cannot be ridden due to breakdown, the base fee is ¥4,400 for the first 10 km, with an additional ¥2,200 for every extra 10 km. Same-day pickup or customer transport is not available.

Size changes are possible on the day if bikes are available.

Within the recommended height range, a larger size bike is generally easier to handle.

We have a changing room available in the shop. You may use it free of charge before departure or after returning.

Showers are not available. Please use nearby public bath facilities.

Restrooms are available within the facility. A rest area and vending machines are also available.
